Beverly Hills at Dusk

beverly hills
Good morning. I had such a lovely evening in Beverly Hills. I'm working on my column now about all the going ons this week. Will put up the link as soon as I'm done. A little preview: Tony Blair is so funny! I had no idea!

...xoxo

(PS: Photo on Polaroid, extra saturated.)

Here's the link! Blair gathers with Hollywood types this week to raise money to combat malaria.

ALSO:
A new Beverly Hills photo on Ms. Muse. Let me know what you think!

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair....

I find most English men to be delightfully funny. They seem to be genuinely fond of women too.

Yes, he is funny (he was many, many years ago anyway). One of my funniest "who have you met before they were "famous" anecdotes. I met him in the basement laundry room of a DC bbq-garden party.

He was doing the diapers (laundry was his part of the gig) & I was getting more ice or something like it. He dazzled me with his knowledge of Appalachian music. How we got to that is too long.

I'm immune to the English accent (though American I heard it every day), etc. It was so informal (he was doing the nappies after all), that I said something like, "God you guys [Labour] have to get it together." He said something like, "Well we are trying...." Me: "Trying, trying?" (I was smiling...not as mean as it sounds...) Look forward to the link. Hope the African first ladies activities went well. I'm trying to avoid a confrontational meeting today (I'm not confronting. I just don't want to get caught in the ugly crossfire. Feeling bit fragile.)

Pip-pip, ttfn, & all that rot. (That's how my mum used to "sign" her telegrams to me when I lived in France....eyeroll.)

As I am a hritish woman, I have dated a few british men (before marrying an american one!) and I can attest that most have a brilliant, dry wit.

i want every politician to be as funny as tony blair. Even ryan seacrest was impressed! (he went back and twittered about the evening...!)

colin firth is really funny too...i laughed so much when i was interviewing him that, later, i had to keep fast forwarding my tape so i didn't have to listen to myself giggling...it was terribly embarrassing, really. like some bridget jones moment..

they're actors, right? they're funny. and god knows i love a good laugh!

I miss California...
I just moved to Florida, but there are way more palm trees here.
Is it true they get palm trees from Florida and ship them there?
