Not a cloud in the sky...

beach

...Today at the beach...

beach

...Just a cool breeze...

beach

...rustling the palm trees...

We had such a lovely time today. I took a nap on a beach blanket under a huge umbrella.

And now it's Sunday evening. I've always disliked Sunday evenings. Such a letdown from the weekend....I always try to distract myself with a good movie (or TV show)...Tonight: The Tudors...

How was your weekend?

love these. love your eye. and why are polaroids so much cooler? what are you doing for supplies these days? didn't they stop making everything?

I wish that there was a beach like that on the island I live on. Looks like the best thing to do when things come to an end. Such as spring break.

I don't like Sunday evenings, either! Bittersweet closings to days off...

Beautiful! Reminds me of my Santa Barbara vacation, when I napped surrounded by snow white sand...Aah!

I think we should fight for 3 day weekends! One day to recover from the week and do errands... One day to relax and do something fun... One day to eat late brunch, then get mentally prepared for the week?

Doesn't it sound logical? I do...

Love, love the polaroids! Such a mellow vintage quality to them. I'm so envious of your day at the beach, being stuck out here in the midwest.

Beautiful pictures! What a lovely time you must have had. I didn't get much done this weekend, but I took a long urban hike all over the city and a nice wooded hike, and had many hours of fun hunting for vintage treasures. I agree - Sunday evenings can feel a tiny bit depressing at times (just remember that the next marvelous adventure is only 5 more days away).

I also have a tough time dealing with Sundays, even though I shouldn't since I work from home, and don't take off specifically weekends. I think it must be the remnant from my school days and office days, when Sunday was always the dreaded day. The panic and anxiety day. Yikes!
A day at the beach sounds too good, my day was spent quietly: pottering around, doing some food shopping, reading... and soon I'm about to watch again one of my favorite movies of all time - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. As an overture to seeing the newest Charlie Kaufman, Synecdoche New York. Can hardly wait!

This is an incredibly long comment, if you read this far, Tina, you are truly a wonder woman!

lovely shots - So jealous you were at the beach. I long to be at the beach. and...I used to love Sundays as it was the time to reflect and enjoy what I had done...but now I hate for them to end.

When I was living on my own in Ventura, Sundays were always the loneliest day of the week. (Plus it was the day I would always lug my laundry to the landromat). I think that feeling has stayed with me all these years!

I love the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Kate is fantastic. And I adore Mark Ruffalo. He's the first celebrity that I interviewed. Very kind and sweet. We ate french fries at a coffee shop in Hollywood and talked for two hours...

Oh, regarding the Polaroids: They stopped making the film but you can still find it online and in some photo shops. It's expired and expensive..but so worth it...i don't know what i'm going to do when it all runs out...

Good! Despite wishing it was overcast and not cloudy, I must admit it was pretty today...

Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Off to watch the "United states of Tara" finale.

Days as shown on these pictures make me go joyriding with my "Aimless Thought". Of course, that is my poem. Divinely taken, Tina.

After all the pleasure you've given all of us, you deserve a month of sunny Sunday's. These photos are an exquisite evocation of the beach essence.
