Cool Blue Calm

blue

blue
I love these blue photos from Paris photographer Nicolas Vandeven's "Dark Blue" flickr set. They're so calming to look at. It's a perfect visual respite after a frenzied week. It's sprinkling here and I'm so glad. I hope it really rains. I'm looking forward to a weekend of rest.

Thank you everyone for your kind messages of concern about my dad. I read him your comments in the hospital today. It made him smile. And me too. He's doing better.

Ah sigh....

xo

(PS: One more blue photo here.)

So glad your father is feeling better, Tina, and that you are in for a weekend of rest. These photos are truly so calming, wonderfuly mysterious and refreshing. I can almost feel the mist on my face. It's been raining all day in SF, and it's been lovely to just stay in. We have a skylight in the bathroom, and you can really hear the rain in there. I had a long, relaxing bath, a glas of wine and listened to the raindrops. I wish you a relaxing weekend, my lovely!

I was just thinking about him...when I was reading your Muse post. I'm so glad he's doing better. How nice that you read our comments to him...like a bunch of get well cards or one huge one!

It's already raining in Northern Ca...I hope that a nice rain heads your way.

You are Botox for the soul. Incredibly soothing and calming photos -- and site, as well. Including your father in Sunday's mass prayers for the ill.

ooh, that IS calming. I'll just sit and gaze at those for a while.
It's drizzling here too, and dark. Baby is sitting in my lap eating fortune cookies.

How could your Dad be anything but better with a daughter whose sense of care for the inner person leads her to share wonderfully contemplative photos. I feel as if you're caring for me, too. Thanks.
