Hello everyone! Happy Monday. I hope your week is off to a good start. I find the colors in this photo by Alexandra Cameron very soothing this morning. The sky is the color of the Caribbean Sea. I had a very stressful weekend at the hospital where my dad is now in ICU. He has another important surgery today. Please keep your fingers crossed that all goes well. I'll keep you posted!

In the meantime, please tell me about all the lovely things you did this weekend! I love to hear your stories!

By the way, I have a very special giveaway for this week!

xoxo

my weekend was quiet as I was sick Saturday. yesterday was Star Trek and dinner with my family. it was perfect.

Took my sons to see IMAX version of Star Trek, where I heard my 9 yr-old say to his older brother (11), "that was as good as Star Wars!" Sacrilege? I'm not sure, but a tremor in the force to be sure; maybe that's what that caused that earthquake last night!

Tina, all the best to your dad today.

Dear Tina,

I am so sorry to hear about your father! Over the last couple weeks of wishing him well, I feel attached to his plight. I wish there was something I could do.

This weekend the importance of family in our lives was reinforced to me. My loving sister rented a convertible sports car for me.

Then we went to Sausalito, ate dinner in a restaurant above the water, and took pictures of the beautiful town. My sister sacrificed her time, though she desperately needed to work.

The excitement and happiness, lowered my pain and I was able to drive! Not only was I happy about the things we did, I was happy to be so loved!

I am sure that you have similar loving memories with your father and this time must be difficult for you both. However, be assured that your love is helping to make him better.

My heart goes out to you both and your whole family! I will think of you all day and wish for good news soon!

Love,
Beatriz

Very best of thoughts for you and your father! I truly hope all goes well.
This weekend was warm and sunny. It was absolutely lovely. I spent most of Sunday in a park looking much like the girl in your picture only with text books instead of balloons. If one has to study on a sunny day, thats the way to do it. I also watched the clouds, it was very peaceful. I will send some of it your way!

Beautiful, beautiful photo! I spent the weekend resting up after a long semester and enjoying the nice weather; luckily, the highs have only been in the 70's lately, which is a huge relief for me..

Love your blog! (:
