Camellia, twice on film

camillia

A Polaroid of a camellia, and a Polaroid of the Polaroid...

camellia

I love to take pictures of pictures, even though they never come out in focus. I found these the other day when I was looking for material for my new little Polaroid blog, Cloud Society. I have a very big announcement coming soon regarding that blog, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, please visit the beach photos I posted on Cloud Society tonight. My dad was doing better and we were able to make a trip to Newport Beach on Saturday. Our luck ran out on Monday however, with yet another setback and hospitalization. But tomorrow will be better.

That's how it goes, I guess, with a chronic illness. It's up and down. In between are days in the sun with a Polaroid camera packed with rare, expensive and expired but gloriously wonderful film.

Pretty!
This reminds me I have to use my expired film before it is utterly destroyed. Any idea how long they last after they have expired?

Lovely pictures of Newport Beach! And thanks for introducing me to Cloud Society. We just received an Holga for a wedding gift, and my husband and I know we are going to become lomography obsessed!

I'm so glad that you and your Dad could share this day at the beach.

Beautiful picture of a picture! I love pink camellias! Sorry to hear about your Dad... It sounds like you both have a beautiful relationship though. That is rare!

Tina, you are seriously tempting me to get a used Polaroid....or my father's anyway. I thought that guy in Amsterdam (?) bought a factory & would be turning out film within a year? Too hopeful? I'll look for it. Someone asked above & it's been on my mind.

As have you & your papa....

I think the photo being blurry adds to the overall effect. You are a good daughter:)

CIAO! Your blog is nice and I will follow it with pleasure. I'm new in blogspot and, well my English is bad, so when I read The English MUSE I had to read it. PS: Take pictures of pictures. Nice idea! Have a nice week end, Italo.

Try to enjoy your break, Tina. I'll be here pacing the floor waiting, in September; and I sincerely hope that Dad is, too (well, not pacing the floor, maybe). I'm remembering y'all in my prayers. Enjoy the summer :)
