Audrey Tautou & Chanel

Hello everyone! The latest Audrey Tautou Chanel 5 commercial just aired here during a red carpet show before the Emmys. Here's the long version, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who worked with Tautou in Amelie.

The commercial was based on a scene from A Very Long Engagement and it was filmed in a railway station in Nice and on the Bosphorus in Istanbul! If that's not romantic enough, it also features Billie Holiday's "I'm a Fool to Want You." Ok, I'm swooning.

Can't wait to see Tautou in the Coco Chanel movie! Have you seen it yet?

I love it! When does the actual Coco Chanel movie come out? I downloaded the TV series of iTunes after seeing it on the Emmys. You should do a post about all of it so some of us who are clueless will know what is going on, since you are so savy :) Oh yeah, and PS, Happy Belated Birthday.

Oh! I've been to this very train station and it really is so very dramatic and beautiful. Love Audrey, also.

The "Telluride at Dartmouth College" series is their annual sneak preview of films fresh from the Festival. The movie was shown this weekend. The setting is gorgeous and she... brilliant!

I know! It's beautiful... artistic... with lots of allusions to Amelie and A Very Long Engagement! (It still makes me sad because it's so enchanted and unrealistic. Could never be.)

Greetings,

No I STILL haven't seen it. How is this possible?! I'm dying to. Although Audrey Tatou will always be Amelie to me.

Whenever I watch Amelie (one of my all time favorite movies) I think Audrey Tautou must be Jean-Pierre Jeunet's muse. It's as though his vision for that movie must always have included her.

I can't wait to see Coco Before Chanel.

I can smell it now. I've got to procure some for myself now. I guess the ad worked.

I'm using it over at my place. Thanks for the inspiration, Tina.

Saw the movie at a free screening earlier this week, and while the movie itself was just ok, Audrey was absolutely captivating.
