Five For Friday

Hello everyone. I wanted to start something new here on the English Muse: A Friday round-up of some of my favorite posts from around the web. So here goes:

Girls on a train...Bleubird Vintage.

The ultimate thrift store find: A vintage hand-knitted dress -- for $5...Making Chicken Salad.

A lovely living room -- complete with botanical prints and the Virgin of Guadalupe...Daydream Lily.

Mismatched teacups...The Rockstar Diaries.

And Maggie Gyllenhaal as a 1940s siren...via Nellie Loves Vintage.

What do you have planned this weekend? I'm going to have brunch with my friend Elaine at Barneys in Beverly Hills before she heads back to Paris. (We both always end up ordering the scrambled eggs and salmon ... and champagne.) I'm also hoping to open a little boutique on Ebay this weekend to sell some of my own vintage finds! Will keep you posted if you'd like to visit...

xoxo

I’m gonna be the evil one who tells you that lits ( the first photo) means prostitute in Estonian.
Just a funny coincidence!

You really should stop doing this. Or I should really stop reading your blog. You have me add all kinds of new inspirational blogs to my blogroll and I just can't keep up with reading them anymore! Just too much inspiration :-D

I adore mismatched teacups! My mom passed down some of her finds to me so I could start my own collection. I would love to display it on big open shelves in my kitchen one day... And someone had a cute idea recently of using spare teacups to house your jewelry collection. Can't remember where I saw that but I thought it was such a sweet idea;)

Would love to see your wares online, you have exquisite taste, however, may I suggest you try www.bonanzle.com? eBay has left its best years behind, Bonanzle is up and coming and a friendy community. You would be most welcome....
