Carrousel

IMG_0979
I've counted three: One at the Eiffel Tower, one at the Louvre and one at the Hotel de Ville. Any others? I don't think the French invented them, but they certainly have perfected them -- like the amusement park equivalent of the macaron!

There is another at the foot of Sacre Coeur in Montmartre! It, too, is lovely!

Yes, you are right, Paris is full of carousels... I've got a picture of my daughter riding exactly on this one! Perhaps I can find a reason to post it. Sabine x

Lovely photo! Carousels are the best!
There's a beautiful old carousel in Griffith Park in L.A. If you haven't been there already, it's very much worth seeing!

Yes the "Manege" is still alive in Paris. But they move about. The one at HDV is on some of the google streetviews of the area, not on others.

Oui, c'est tres magnifique! Mais je prefere le carrousel de Montmartre, dans la basilique du Sacre-Coeur. Et excusez-moi pour ma reponse, mais je ne parle pas anglais tres bien... Bon voyage!
I hope you travel well home.

Dear Muse,
Just wanted to share this lovely carrousel that is located in Montpellier, France. I was there last summer and could not resist taking a spin!
