Ellen Von Unwerth's "Fräulein"

Ellen Von Unwerth is without a doubt my favorite fashion photographer. (Who is yours?) Her book "Fräulein" sizzles! I only wish I could afford a copy.

I put a preview up on Sugar Pop Tarts.

Take a look! It's very provocative...

she's definitely my favorite too. ever since she did the "wendybird" and dreamy wanderer" films for erin featherston (starring zooey and kirsten) i've been totally in love. her work is the absolute most inspiring thing.

Here's the link to those films if you haven't watched:

You really do have a great blog here. I have a blog myself which brings inspiration and guidance to people all around the world. Life is hard enough, and I hope my site can contribute anything positive to someone's day.

I'd like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around between each other. Please let me know if this is possible. Until then, keep up the good work.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Tina Modotti is a favorite of mine.
Shared time and space with Frida Kahlo in Mexico.

I love her work! It's interesting that she gets commissions from Lula because they're such a girly frilly magazine while von Unwerth's work tends to focus on sexuality. She can be quite versatile, as long as her subject is a female. :)

I have to say that my current favourite fashion photographer is Tim Walker, he has replaced Annie Leibovitz. But this also seems like a good book to have.

I adore her photography and love her erotic pictures of (other) women. I still have to learn a lot about photographers and there individeual styles, but Erwin Blumenfeld, Richard Avedon, Sante d'Orazio are just some great names. Sabine x

Oh Ellen, for sure. I think you first ambled over to one of my blogs because of Italian Vogue scans of an Ellen editorial shoot. I did not know about the book. I will go look at the link & realize I can't afford it but will find a way to look at it at least. Not at the library, alas.
