Thursday Giveaway: Gorgeous Green Opera Purse

Hello my dears, this was another one of my Paris flea market finds. I had it listed in my eBay store, but I'm clearing out the Paris inventory to make way for treasures from San Francisco.

Would you like to have it? It's lovely: made of silk with a green glass bead handle. The latch looks like an green jeweled antique brooch. It's large enough for lipstick, a few euros and tickets to the opera!

Please leave a comment to enter! The winner will be announced Monday. Thank you! Meanwhile, I'm off to explore more of San Francisco...xoxo

Exquisite! It reminds me of a metal purse I made when I was still in art school, in a similar pyramid shape. This is way more practical and elegant!

Green, you say??? I AM green... I live green... my little eponymous company that is trying to save the planet through energy and water efficiency (that I'm proud to say is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month--we were green before it was cool) is green and so are all our employees... I couldn't be greener if I were Kermit the Frog (and by the way, it IS easy being green, with our help). On top of all this, I majored in French (as an undergraduate) and adore wandering through the Parisian flea markets and love repurposing vintage couture like this as part of a sustainable lifestyle. This delightful little treasure would make a perfect anniversary keepsake!

Well, I thought I had the bag "in the bag" until I scrolled down and read the entry from Christine Geltz. She not only included my Kermit quote, but she seems like a much more legitimate candidate! Thanks for offering a giveaway ... and enjoy San Francisco!

The perfect acid green, the color of hope and spring, all contained in a lovely little bag.

"This was a house dedicated to writing; a variety of pots held all sort of pens, pencils and erasers, but there was only one sort of ink available: green the color of hope."

What a lovely art piece, entrenched in vintage glamour in a contemporary inspiring colour. It's a real life fairytale bag isn't it? And definately has it's own story.I'd certainly like to fill it with some french inspirations of my own. Regards, Therese
