Ode to a house

Diana Camera
It's official: our little Tudor style house is on the market.
If anyone out there is looking for a very cute place in Pasadena, maybe this is the house for you.

I would like to write a missive here about my layoff....I'm just going to say this: We spent nearly 12 happy years in this house. I'll miss the roses and the clawfoot tub.

Life goes on...

It's adorable indeed! You can turn any house into a happy home Tina. I'm sorry, so sorry, about the rough times you've been through this past year. Here's to new beginnings in the new place! xoxo

Good luck to you, Tina — I'm so sorry you were made to leave such a charming little place, but be comforted knowing that a happy home is anywhere that has love.

The house is a real gem, it should sell quickly!

It sucks about the job and I'm sorry!

You should be able to find something quickly.

You have nearly 3000 followers! Wow! That has to count for something. People love you and you're good!

Adorable house, I am sure it will go quick!

What a gorgeous home! I can see why you are sorry to leave it, but I like the style of new place and change can be so invigorating! Enjoy nesting in your new digs!

Your house is so lovely! But I think your new place will be just as lovely, and an opportunity for innovation and healthy change.

I will miss those rose posts...I've been marking the Eden rose pages in gardening magazines...trying to talk a friend into them for her house. (I miss mine,too...that's one thing about an apt. as much as I like them--no garden with most.)

Cheers, Tina.

PS: I won't get started on banks. My bp is going up as I type this...

You are their loss but your new adventure. I checked out the stupid gossip blog and all I can say is if I want to read this crap I'll go to Perez. They should have kept you but anyways... their loss. Your house is adorable and will sell fast. I think you'll love your new digs!

I'm so sorry to read this! I'm in a similar situation and the only thing that gives me hope is that the lives of the people I've witnessed undergo this type of transition only move on to happier and better things. I wish that for you!!

The house looks beautiful, I'm sure it wont take long for you to sell it. And I bet that you have already made your new home beautiful!

I love your blog! Your house was lovely but your new flat will be a home in no time. Re: the gossip blog, I absolutely can't stand those blogs, and I would really hesitate to call those people 'writers' anyway, it's pretty much the lowest form of life. Good luck to you from the other side of the world :)

Oh! It's darling!!!

Your house looks lovely and I know you will find the right buyers soon. In all honesty, I wouldn't read that gossip blog if someone paid me. It's boring to look at and doesn't read like other juicy sites do. It's very blahhhhhhhhhhhh. Just saying.

Your home is lovely. Right up my alley. I've been in mine for 12 years too and it would be a blow to have to move. Your new home is lovely too. You've got the right attitude and outlook to make it work. Seems like you've had the worst of times and the best of times this year. Always look on the bright side.

I so hope someone worthy buys this house. It is beautiful and so loved up--that part's obvious.

Tina, I'm sorry you had to leave this lovely home but your new one is just so chic and I know you will lead a dazzling life there! Many blessings and happiness to you.

Ah, fer Shizzle.
Those damn bumps in life.

Well, you tell any future sponsors or employers that you have a huge fan base that will buy anything that you tell us to. Now....on to the rest of the story.....

Good luck with the sale and here's to a brighter year and another happy home...xv

On to bigger, better, brighter things. You're making room to receive.

Such a beautiful, charming house, Tina. I'm completely in love with it. If I had the money I would buy it. Even without the furniture one can see hom much love you've put into it. And, yes, life goes on, and you will again creat a wonderful nest for you and your family. Much love. xoxox

And, indeed, what an idiotic gossip column!

I'm almost afraid to put it in print, but losing my home is one of my biggest fears. I'm such a homebody. So it scares and saddens me that you've had to walk through the experience of giving up yours. I'm so sorry, and having it on the market must be like getting a band-aid pulled off slowly. I hope that once the house has sold you will feel a little bit free. Perhaps you will try something wonderful that you would have never tried before? I look forward to watching things get BETTER for you!

The house is beautiful. This is an opportunity to bring to life a new home which will be wonderful as well. Try to take the tub tho...

I 'changed' residences (not by choice) 3 years ago and am much happier now- more good choices ahead.

To me you look brave and graceful. It says a lot that your daughter was able to focus on making that amazing animation in the midst of a big move. Pat yourself on the back - often!

you always brighten my day with your lovely blog. keep your chin up. more sunny days ahead!

Ouch, that sucks! I don't know you but my heart skipped a few beats for you. Too bad you can't move to St. Louis, we have plenty of Tudor homes and you would consider them a steal after living in your area. Good luck. I know there is another romantic home in your future...some of us just have to have one and there is a home out there that needs you! Sincerely, Machelle

Good luck with your new home. We are in the same situation, and because we have NOT defaulted on our mortgage, Bank of America won't even talk to us. Go figure. They are such scumbags! I will also miss the garden most of all... I keep trying to tell myself it is all just "stuff", and I can have stuff wherever we are. :)
