A Red Typewriter & A Lonely Girl

I have a thing for old typewriters -- usually pink, but red is fantastic too. I LOVE the Breakfast at Tiffany's GIF, by Arlei, and the top photo by Andreia Lopes.

Thank you for all your comments regarding my previous post on boring books. I can never stick with a book if it's dull. And I hate to say this, but the latest Michael Cunningham effort is about to go on the shelf next to the Richard Ford rejects. Oh well...

I have a deep love of old typewriters too and have been struggling for years between buying or not buying one. They're so beautiful, but so impractical, even as a decorative item.

Love old typewriters myself. Am definitely jonesing for an Olivetti Valentine someday. . . And regarding the last post: it takes guts to admit which books bore you to tears. Often you find out it is someone else's favorite: for me it was the much lauded The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. Just didn't get it. Also, The Corrections. It reminded me of every depressed person I had every known during my NYC days. So there. I've confessed.

I also love them! I want a pink one SO bad! There is someone on Etsy that sells just old type writers, it's very cool!

I have a thing for typewriters, too! I still have to buy a vintage one. For some strange reason, I still have this idea in my head that defines writers with typewriters, rather than them sitting on their laptops all day.

I guess I just find the scenario of pulling the paper out in frustration, crumpling it into a ball and toss it off quite more poetic in motion than just pressing backspace. :)

This is so much fun visually!
And Breakfast At Tiffany's, in my opinion, is one of the sweetest movies ever made!
