Things inside purses...

Anthropologie is out this month with a catalogue featuring pictures of stuff inside purses. Why am I so fascinated by this? I love blog posts, photos, stories, etc. about the things people keep in their bags. (Is there a flickr group on this?) Anyway, here are a few shots from the Anthro campaign:

Sorry I haven't been posting much...I've been busy working, and -- alas -- I'm not going to Paris.
 Maybe next year...

UPDATE: I just discovered there is a flickr group called "What's In Your Bag." It has more than 20,000 members. I'm not alone!

it feels good to know i'm not on my own as well my friend...
i think i scare a few of my friends when i take their bags and oh-so-politely look through their stuff...
it's kind of dull though when i only see a wallet and a phone.
DULL I TELL YOU
haha

Perhaps this is why I adore looking at some of the Japanese fashion magazines, Tina! They always give us a peek, luv it too!

You are definitely not alone. Peeking into someone else's bag is one of life's simplest, voyeuristic pleasures. And it's so inspiring!

Those bags were infinitely tidier than my own, and can someone tell me why I have THREE notebooks in here with only the first 2 pages written on? Sorry to hear about Paris; like you said, there's always next year.

Oh come on Anthropologie - that's not a real handbag! Where are the crumpled receipts, scribbled notes, tissues and bits of fluff?

Don't you think it's funny how us Brits have different words for the most common of items. Our purse is what we keep our credit cards and money in. We call your purse a hand bag. And let's not mention fanny...

Ahh, Im so excited to get my Anthropologie catalog! I love to see what people take around in their purses. It's always so many random things! Sunny LA sounds like a good place to be... sounds like a good choice. Paris is difficult to walk around in the Winter.

oh, tina! you're definitely not the only one! there's something so enthralling about what people hold in their bags. i know mine is like a lifeline to me, so i think what people have in their bags, tells a lot about their characters. i was really really excited opening my mailbox and seeing the catalog, too!

I like seeing what women keep in their purses, too--though I might prefer seeing inside their pantries and refrigerators!

Ditto this! I'm absolutely obsessed with the "What's in my bag?" series on Youtube and love looking at pictures of people's bags. :P
