The Weekend...

Spring Series

I'm looking forward to staring my new book this weekend -- The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery. And, I really want to go to the flea market to search for lovely little treasures to incorporate into the jewelry I'm making at the moment.

What are you doing this weekend!?

I think you'll love The Elegance of...the characters are quite fresh in my mind a few years after reading.

I'm pretty much stuck at home but will be opening windows today as it will be upper 70s! Mainly watching alJazeera, etc. Writing. Making soup.

Love the new font. I thought to do it too on GG blog but thought it would be too much. Now I don't think so. Anyway...xoxo

I'm looking forward to starting my new book too: The Street of Crocodiles. Never heard of The Elegance of the Hedgehog, I'll have to look it up. I've been on a reading spree ever since I got my eReader!

To do in the weekend: start reading "The visit of the physician" (about Danish king Christian VII who was insane and his wife and her lover), visiting a homemade goodies fair and probably visiting my parents.

Elegance of the Hedgehog led me down an obsessive path to reading and collecting as many Europa Editions publications that I can get my hands on. They are my favorite publisher.
I hope that you enjoy that book. I had a hard time putting it down.

Ooh a full and frantic weekend of reading, making soup and indulging my love of camp 1930s detectives. Some self-indulgence after a horrible week.
Enjoy the book and the flea!

Oh a trip to the flea market sounds great, but it is raining nonstop here in the California wine country. I plan on spending a bit of time finishing Five Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris. Will check out The Elegance of the Hedgehog.
