Hello everyone, how was your Tuesday?
I just got back after spending the day at the hospital with my dad. He had another surgery today. We hope to know tomorrow when we can bring him home. Generally, he's doing better -- but the hospital is so dreary! I found myself daydreaming about the desert. I love to go to Two Bunch Palms to soak in the hot springs. Just thinking about it makes me relax.
One of my best friends is in town from Paris and I'm thinking about dragging her out to the desert for a spa getaway, if everything goes ok with my dad.
(PS: I took this photo on Sunset Boulevard the other day. It reminded me of Two Bunch -- big bushy palm trees mixed with tall ones under the desert sky. ah...)
i hope that you can take him home soon, until then i'm sending good thoughts.

Ah, I share that sense of the desert with you. It's my "happy place" when things are difficult, or worrisome or even just a little too static.
ReplyDeleteI am, as I have been, wishing all the best for you and your father. My mum went through a surgery recently (she is completely recovered and back to her usual, fiercely energetic self) so I know a little of how you're feeling. Hugs.
Palm trees make me feel very serene too. Beautiful photo! I hope your Dad comes through the second surgery with flying colors and gets to go home soon.

It's great that you are able to place your mind in serene places and fond memories while going through the tedious functions of reality...hope you make it to the spa soon! (of course, that would mean all went well with your father)... :)
