These beautiful photos were taken by my friend Shokoofeh. (You can see them on her flickr page). I'm thinking today of her and all the women of Iran, with much sadness over the death of Neda Agha-Soltan.

  4. Such gorgeous vibrant pictures. I love the Middle East and pray everyday for peace. My youngest sons godparents are Iranian and they have a lot of family there and I know they worry so much. Thanks for reminding everyone of the beauty both in the designs and most importantly in Iran's people.

  7. Oh! These remind me so much of life in Indonesia! I love them. The ancient arts of the Eastern cultures will dazzle any Westerner. I have some handmade bamboo angel's that are all playing instruments in a little orchestra that would go great with this collection. I love things like this. Thanks for sharing. Keep it coming.

  16. These photos are beautiful. I wish people dind't have to die so that we could live better lives. Why can't we all just live those better lives, with an open mind and an open heart? Without killing, hurting, fighting, arguing, hating.

Thinking of Shokoofeh, thinking of Neda. xox
