I love this article about Carolina Jr.'s Madrid apartment
It appeared in the Domino premiere issue, Spring/Summer 2005
I adore the blackboard, the Moroccan mirror, the antique Suzani, the red tupils. And the vintage copy of Kenneth Tynan's Bull Fever...
The settee as bed footboard is so clever.
And look at this fantastic bathroom. The clawfoot tub is wonderful amid the antiques.
And here's Carolina's shopping guide to Madrid:
I'd love to spend an afternoon at the Rastro flea market!
Click photos to see them large on my flickr page. I'm hoping to post Domino articles every Sunday. You can visit last week's feature {here}. xo

PS: Speaking of shopping, I wanted to mention that my friend Tina Tarnoff is having a sale on her wonderful papercut silhouettes in her Etsy store. Buy one, get one free! (For two days only).
Sale ends tomorrow night. Here's the {link}!

wow, her apartment is gorgeous.
thanks for posting, dear.
My goodness - that is beautiful. I love the notebook spread as well!
oh you had me at 'Domino'
Looks so effortless! (Now if only it actually were!)
I think the most interesting element of her aesthetic is the use of flowers in unconvential vases. It's something even those of us who don't have friends who do iron work can do. This is a truly inspiring post.
They just profiled her in the June Vogue too. Such a gorgeous spot - I'll take both her apartment and her wardrobe!
this is really pretty! thanks for sharing :)

wow, so beautiful. i love it
She always seems to reveal her Self as someone who owns every space she finds her Self standing.
Her style is incredible. I have saved that same article, I love everything she does.
ahhhh yes. fond memories of that apartment. i remember freaking out over that bathroom. one of the first times i saw the cowhide in use in such a great way. only a bathroom that size could you pull that off. lovely.
