Have you seen Maira Kalman's
latest blog post on the NYT website? It's a tribute to Abraham Lincoln and it's absolutely brilliant. One of the things Kalman wonders: What would Lincoln have thought of Frida Kahlo? What do you think?
UPDATE: I love this comment from Yoli: "I whole heartedly believe he would have asked her out on a date."
Hmm, what if Lincoln were a ladies man...

I think after meeting Frinda he would really try to end the "People hiding their emotions era" and have everybody work on seriously starting to expose their hearts. Just like Frida.
Lincoln had a wonderful, though apparently very dry sense of humor. His wife Mary was a thoroughly modern girl--she suffered from bouts of depression and was an incorrigible shopaholic. He loved her deeply.
Hmmmmm, not sure what he would think! I know he would be accepting of her though. I love Frida! My sisters and I went to Philly last year to see her art in person. It was amazing!
