I've been noticing that Woody Allen is getting lots of hearts these days on We Heart It. Seems a whole new generation is in love with the legendary funny man. Are you?
Funny, Iwatched Bananas and Annie Hall last night and I was thinking that he's one of these filmakers whose work can be re-discovered 30 years later. My personal favorite is Broadway Danny Rose, and I adooore one he wrote and peter sellers directed: What's new pussycat. must have
I do not get it! I just have never 'got' the excitment over this man. Can you help me? I want to get it, but I just really do not. All of his movies dissapoint me, there is something about him that annoys me irrationally and I always scratch my head when people talk about him. I've tried I really have!!
Having been born in Woodstock in the right era, Woody Allen was certainly an ingrained part of the culture of my early life. I never entirely "got it", but by the same token I have always watched his films. He's one-of-a-kind, and that's something you can't dismiss. However, I have to say, as the mother of an adoptive child, I've never quite been able to shake the Soon Yi issue. It bothers me.
I have always had a crush on Woody. I love all that he's done, most recently, of course, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. But one of my all time favorite is Broadway Danny Rose. The writing in that move is just unbeleivably good.
i adore woody allen. i quote him often, and a few of his movies are some of my top films ever. he's a genius, and he uses words in a way that thrills me.
Woody Allen is in that rarefied air of Steven Speilberg. I think greatness has to do with the volume, range, and quality of an artist's work. Also, Woody Allen is fearless. People tend to like people with real guts and courage.
I've always loved Woody Allen! And I'd see any film he made - even the smaller one's last Cassandra's Dream from a few summers ago. And Vicky Cristina Barcelona - pure genius!

I like Woody Allen's quirkiness. He's very original, and I like his humor.
As a native New Yorker who no longer lives there, I can't make it through the Gershwin opening to Manhattan without shedding a tear or two!
I can't tell you the number of times I wished I could pull Marshall Mcluhan in to settle disputes.

Yes, I love his work. Hey, that's the first time I've ever seen him with his hair combed.

The man is VERY odd but that just makes him all the more brilliant. Wouldn't you just love to get inside his head for an afternoon?...

Wood Allen once said he wears a helmet to protect his second-most-favorite organ. What a wit!
