Is it really any wonder our ancestors looked to the sky for their gods? These lovely photos are enchanting in the simple way they evoke that wondrous act of looking up and breathing deeply. Thanks.
it's surprisingly chilly at the beach in california, especially in the evening. even in the summer.
I went to an outdoor reception at JJ Abrams' house in the pacific palisades about a year ago. they had a large basket filled with cashmere wraps for the ladies.
Sally Field was there keeping warm in a twinset...
now i'm making it sound like we're braving freezing temperatures here! sorry!
No, you're right! It feels really chilly at night here. Since moving to L.A. from the East Coast, I've never gotten used to the fact that the ocean is freezing cold year-round, too.
I agree...it's chilly at the beach in California...especially in Northern California. But I guess we Californians can't complain to much;) Still...have a beautiful weekend! ...just take a warm sweater;)
re the pacific ocean: it's true. it's freezing! I was also surprised how much it rains in Los Angeles during the winter. I could never understand how Sinatra could sing: "She hates california. it's cold and it's damp" until I moved here..
Although I love California, it can be cold and damp...
re: Polaroids...i've been buying the film online and at a photo shop in pasadena! it's still available, altho expensive...hoping someone buys the rights and starts making the film again...i can't afford to stock pile it! once it's gone, i guess i'll have to learn how to use a digital camera....
i wish the sky was always this blue in Los Angeles. Somedays it's gray with smog that hangs over everything...altho it does seem to be getting better...
Lovely, fluffy photos! Can't wait to see what else you capture on film. Have a beachy weekend.

The clouds were lovely, like tufts from the argyle of strangers passed in the bus station.
