Lavender

Lavender is blooming like crazy in my garden. The bees are so happy. (Not so much my husband, who was stung on the foot the other day.) I took these pictures this afternoon. Check out the weird little thing on the upper-right-hand corner of both photos. What is that? Polaroids always surprise me with their strange little spots.

As I'm blogging this, I'm sitting on our new Ikea sofa, with a very practical khaki denim slipcover. It's not as mushy and as comfy as the last sofa, but it's lovely all same. I'm wondering how long it will be before it's shredded by our two beastly cats.

Dreamy! I found such pretty bluebells yesterday. The marks are kinda cool, but probably a chemical stain xoxo

Gorgeous lavender plants - mine won't come out until early July. I have no idea about the green mystery in the corner! xv

Love lavender in the garden, especially close to the front door, the scent is so intoxicating. Yours are so full and have so many flowers already. They are gorgeous!

Sorry about the hubby's foot:-/ ouch...

Beautiful photos. I hope my lavenders bloom like that in spring. Also I think the weird thing looks like finger prints no?

Lavender in the garden, according to the old herbalists, is a guarantor of love. Yours is very beautiful and it looks like you've got enough for a whole shelf of romance novels.

I love lavender. It all started when I worked as a personal assistant for a woman who wanted everything lavender in her house, she had lavender soap, and essence, and linen water, and tea, and you name it. So now that I don't work for her anymore, and therefore not in the presence of the lavender anymore, I realized I am addicted myself! :)

Our lavender is not coming up yet. I am ready for the color and the fragrance...not the bees. Lovely photos.

Wonderful! I wish I could grow lavender here, but it's hotter than hell and humid in Houston!
Or maybe it's my brown thumb...

Love Lavender! Hope your husband wasn't stung on the bottom of his foot--that would make it painful to walk!! Cats are still worth it, even though they ruin furniture (they have double sided tape now that some people have used with success).

You should stock up on film for your camera. I believe they no longer produce film for polaroids. I'm sure you know that but just in case! By the way your lavender is beautiful, mine is only just budding.

You're so lucky to have a garden that grows lavender! I love lavender so much - it always reminds me of my summers in the island of Hvar (Croatia). the island is covered in lavender and is heaven! (here's a great photo: http://www.elite.hr/elite_travel_dubrovnik/cruises/dalmatian_highlights_cruise/hvar_v.jpg)
