One of my neighbors recently had a yard sale
He sold of some of the old paintings that he and his father created in their garage workshop
Of course, I had to lug home the giant matador and various pieces of Mexican folk art
I can rarely resist a yard sale, especially one this colorful, which I guess explains why I have too much stuff.

Wow! What an awesome yard sale! I'd have just transfered everything to my house becuase all that folk art is stunning! Have a lovely sunny weekend xoxo
interesting...ha. love a good yard sale. remember as a kid with a pocket full of quarters...it was like magic
Ah, the sales near you have it on any near me. Love this stuff. You say paintings, but those on bottom look like photographs...a realist painter? or are they prints? I'm in a sort-of related mood, though it might prick anger against colonialism (understandably). Flamenco-flamenca anything & everything. This tendency usually peaks in Feb. when we have a big flamenco festival here in DC. But you know how it is: put on some music & la la la la. My mother claims I kept my hair long, anticipating flamenco classes & merely want it to fling around & also that I want new shoes to stomp around in. It's so serious that I subscribe to Flamenco World online magazine & pretend shop.
Ack. Must go but enjoying the last week or so on TEM. Just haven't been able to really stop by.
Hope your papa is regaining much-deserved health. And will we ever see any of his artwork?

Geez, our yard sales aren't this fun around here! I need to move.
LOVE the matador. That coyote on the table? Did that go home with you Tina? He's wonderful!
Fantastic painting you came home with! I never find good stuff at yard sales.
The old Mexican film stars are super. Your neighbors must be interesting people.
You always manage to find all the good stuff! Not great pickin's here lately..
have a super weekend!!!

What a great yard sale, I think I'm developing a giant crush on that matador fella! My neighborhood yard sales are slightly on the boring side, most of the time. I think you have an uncanny ability to locate the ones that count. Or, maybe, the sales are finding you. (It's like that Agatha Christie's - Hercule Poirot thing, where he doesn't stumble upon murders, but the murders always follow him!) xoxo
I know, I know, very bad coparison, but I just couldn't help myself!
I love watching the movies of all those film stars! I actually own some! Gives me some ideas...hmmmmmm....
wow that stuff is fab! i wish i could have bought some
i lovee yard sales :D
I love folk art! I always feel scared that people will stop making them and the world would be a less beautiful place.
Those pictures are a great find!
Have a fantastic weekend!
