I would love to take a little trip to NYC this summer to see the Isabel Toledo exhibition at
the Museum at FIT. (It opens on June 17.) I couldn't resist tearing these ads for the show out of my Harper's Bazaar this month.
The ads are by Nordstrom and they're awesome. Photography by Ruven Afanador. Typography by Isabel's husband, Ruben Toledo. And designs by Isabel, who is featured in the top photo. The gorgeous Crystal Renn is in the second photo followed by Alek Wek and Carmen Dell'Orefice.
Marvelous.

wow, I would love to take that trip too. Too bad all my vacation time is taken up. booo.
sigh... wish I could go too. She (and her husband) are such a great example of artistic living. :)
might be worth a trip to NYC just to see her works! thanks for the tip.
Gosh! Oh, how I would love to see that show. I'm crazy about Toledos. Seeing Ruben makes me want to grow a mustache. Or pencil one in. Have you seen this photo of Isabel by Dietmar Busse: http://www.dietmarbusse.com/artists-and-starlets-nyc/isabel-toledo.php - It;s amazing. And every time I see Carmen Dell'Orefice I'm blown away by her classic beauty. Have a good night, Tina. xoxo
oh my God, this is fabulous! I wish I could go too! :(
but I'm going to search about it to get more information, thank you Tina, this is great!
xo
How fabulous!! What a lovely blog you have too!
Amazing! Fashion at its finest. That would definitely be something to attend.
The prints look like original medieval one's. Maybe not to most people, but that is what I see when I look at them.
Amazing. What vision!
I just love the style of these ads. Wonderful.
