From old magazines.
I love the contrast of light and color...Beads, glass and ribbon...
An inspiration wall of flowers...
And a cobalt blue chandelier...
So lovely to look at. A visual respite.
The photos are from a variety of sources: Vogue Living May/June 08,
British House & Garden June 2001, and Elle (I think!)
Happy Wednesday everyone. One more day until the long holiday weekend!

These are absolutely beautiful...the cobalt chandelier is so classy I almost can't take it!
There all beautiful but I love the top image. It feels very happy place to create in.
Love the first image with those fabrics!!
Beautiful, romantic and inspiring... Thanks for sharing those! x
Oooo I love that wall of flowers!
I love these! The contrast used is awesome.
It's always surprising how beauty renders even the most casual arrangement elegant.
So incredibly lovely. Those images just gave me a little lift.
A collage wall of flowers is the one that speaks to me.
So casual and pretty:)
Lovely, Tina. Now, please tell me that you're going to indeed get out of your sea of magazines for the weekend (I'm thanking the goddesses that I lent all my 'feriner' mags out:) & go enjoy.
(Maybe) will soon have longed-for chandelier in zee bedroom & one for bath & I'm very excited. (not new but then, I don't want new). Will be first discretionary acquisitions for the apt. in...almost 8 years. (other than flowers, etc.) I mean 'durable good.' keep fingers crossed........
xx
i adore that very first image
Beautiful dreamy hues.
A vibrant post that had my eyes dancing with color!
beautiful selections...the rich blues in that last photo make me feel good.
you just have to save favorite photos. they are current and future inspiration. i need to find a way to organize magazines and reference fab photos i want to be able to run to when i need the fix. i love the figure painting in the last photo. there is nothing like hanging real art in your spaces as opposed to prints.
Hey Lady,
I stumbled upon your blog yesterday, and I'm ever so glad I did! Today I read your pink gloves entry from earlier this year. I love gloves and I tittered while reading your story. I too have man hands, and can never stuff the monsters into a single pair of vintage gloves.
I want to give us a challenge since we are both Angelenos. I am a huge glove advocate-West Coast or no-our fore mothers wore them everywhere. I purchased a vintage fur coat at the end of winter this year, and kept removing it every time I went out declaring, "No one wears this in L.A.!" Well, perhaps THEY should. Let's bring style and distinction back to our generation.
As far as 'saving' them goes, do not wait! My cherished, late grandma May 'saved' purses and jewelry for special occasions that never came. After her death we sifted through beautiful relics that still bore the tags. Seize the day, declare NOW the time for your special occasions.
Keep up the good work on your blog darlin'!
Warmest Regards,
Ashley Yazzie
