She: loves homemade chocolate chip cookies. shampoo. maps.
tea parties. birthday candles. holga cameras.
(She's also a recent grad of the juilliard school. the fierce dance class of 2008.)
He: likes strawberry pop tarts. homemade ginger cookies. italy. jpmorgan. crew team. music.
(he's a proud columbia university grad. now works 15 hour days in DC.)
he hates mayonnaise + slim jims.
Me: I'm completely in love with their blog, the Rockstar Diaries.
These very cute newlyweds, Naomi and Josh (aka Taza and the Prince), have one of the best couples blogs on the Internet (I think!) They post
gorgeous pictures -- taken with Polaroid, Holga and Diana cameras -- of their various trips to exotic locales.
It's a Lomographic feast!
It also made for a wonderful visual escape at the hospital today, where I spent six hours with my dad, who underwent a blood transfusion to address his severe anemia. (Thank you Huntington Hospital for having free Internet service!) Throughout the day, I showed him my favorite blogs and read him your amazing, beautiful comments. (He thinks you're all lovely!)
I wish I could adequately tell you how much I appreciate/love/need/cherish your kind words of support.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
so much. so much.
xoxo

The blog sounds so cute. I love how they share polaroid and lomo photos. beautiful...
I never knew hospitals had wireless internet. They must be more in touch with people like us now. Hope the sun is shining brightly for you..
Tina,
We don't know you personally, but we feel as though we do through your work and your blog. And, because of personal experience, my wife and I empathize with your loving devotion to your dad. We live in Los Angeles, and should you need anything -- errands, watering plants, etc -- and need another helping hand, please do not hesitate to call upon us. God's blessings to you and yours.
Tony
what a neat find! off to check them out....
Saying prayers for you and your Dad!!
Best wishes to your father ;)
I love their blog! It's just such a lovely thing to do! Myself and The Boy could never cooperate enough to do it!lol!
And I'm so sorry about your dad! And you, that's a lovely thing to do, as abandoning your work can be so tough. My brother has a rare heart condition and when he was born, both my parents gave up work to be round-the-clock carers for him ...it's so admirable!
how lovely that you were able to share blogs and comments with your dad. would you like to trade links?
Hi to my darling Tina from a beautiful place!

Wow Tina, I'm very impressed at your devotion to your dad. It seems that you've hardly left his bedside and I'm sure he really appreciates all the time you're spending with him. Keep reading to him to keep both of your spirits up! I'll keep him in my prayers and hope that he gets better soon.
So cool that Naomi reads your blog too! Blogging is like joining the mutual admiration society!
Love what you are doing for your Dad. Your commitment is admirable and completely lovable. What a blessing you both are in each others' lives.
Hang in there,

Oh me too! I found them just before they moved to DC but then lost track. When I saw that surprise Bday trip to the DR I seriously about fell out of my chair. You can feel the love radiate through their blog which is truly appreciated in tough times. Sending you and your dad healing thoughts from Seattle.
I've discovered the Diana and Holga cameras thanks to you, I'll definitely buy one of them soon!
I love the idea of a couples blog. I wonder if Mr. Dream Sequins would be up for it, though? He's camera shy ;)
