    I did the geek-chic thing in 1990 and attracted my husband. On September 15 of that year I picked up my new horn-rimmed glasses after 11 years of wearing contacts. On September 15 I met my husband who remembered that I looked "Smart, but kind of stunned"

    Believe me, it is not... ;) I wore gigantic glasses for most of my high school time and looked very geeky but not chic in them at all... now, luckily, I have contacts. But these pictures do make me want to try at least decorative glasses again...

    Me 2!! I have a pair that I need for reading and driving at night -- a really low grade, though. I'd love to buy a pair with THICK frames by Oliver Peoples but since I don't really need them, it's hard to justify the purchase. :)
