Hi Everyone! It's Crystal from Plush Palate again. Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my last post. Though we all miss Tina dearly, I appreciate you making me feel so welcome here in the meantime!
I spend a lot of time thumbing through interior design images each day. Most of the time they are perfectly composed, brilliantly staged, and impossibly pristine. As a perfectionist, that speaks to me and is what I strive for in my own place. But every once in a while, I crave to see those spaces that take me out of my comfort zone. I want to be floored and energized by something messy, something unexpected, or something creatively genius. That's when I turned to the The Selby, where the homes they shoot are refreshingly lived in and always overflow with personality.

I loved the interior of Sofia Achaval's home in Paris. I thought is is so brilliantly beautiful: bright pallet, interesting combinations of materials, looks like a very happy place to live in.
The first few images are a bit cringe factor (because I can relate to them more than I would normally admit!) Love Ryan Korban's home, (and his eyes!), but the records and books in the author's shots really speak to me.

Those places are awesome!
I so agree with you, there are so many interiors photos well, beautiful but lifeless (?). These one you show are so refreshing, I can imagine myself in there!
One thing is for sure: it's sure nice to see a messy house in photos!! A relief :) The 1st .
Love the pictures! Especially that one with all the messy drawers and chest. Makes me feel less guilty typing this comment instead of cleaning up. ;-)
I love Isabel's place...her beautiful mess makes me feel right at home!
