A new place to call home...



After a year of apartment living, we put in a bid on a little cottage in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. The house is tiny but the yard is huge -- and I'm really looking forward to starting a new garden.

We're hoping to find out today or tomorrow if we have the house.

Please keep your fingers crossed it works out this time!

    Good luck on the bid! I, too, live in a tiny little cottage with a huge yard. And I love it. Although, I hope you're more successful with the garden than I have been.

    So nice of you to share!
    We did the same move 10 years ago and never regreted it for a minute.
    Now that Spring arrived it's even better to have a place to relax from the day's work.

    Love the collage. Did you do it. Really wonderful. Looks a bit like my Mpls neighborhood, although deer only visit us rarely. Leafy neighborhoods are good for the soul.

    I've lived in a small house with a tiny yard my whole life and now that I am in an apartment I can really appreciate how wonderful living in a house is. You would love it!
